GEL Accounting Services and Consultancy

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

lumantao.comI have just launched a new website for my accounting practice and consultancy. As mentioned in the website, my services will be geared towards small and medium enterprises, or SMEs, as well as online or internet ventures in the Philippines.

I believe that, unlike large companies which have huge accounting departments with ready access to established accounting and auditing firms, SMEs usually make do with the crudest record-keeping by its owners and managers as source of financial information.

I need to de-stress my life…

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Outgoing, full of life, bubbly, witty, happy-go-lucky but has sense of directions, these qualities that best describes me.  But that was before, I don’t know anymore what is wrong with me lately.  Maybe because I am a prison of a situation that I will forever regret.  I’ve hurt a lot of people who is always been kind to me and never realized that I even crushed their lives into pieces.

It all started by pleasing others.  Just to prove them that I am like this and I am like that, that I can do this and I can do that, but what happened pleasing somebody puts me in a hell situation that I don’t know how to escape.  Somehow I blame myself for putting me into this kind of situation, because it was me who made this situation worse.

How can I resolve this if I keep on crying?  Crying won’t do nothing.  Making an action to these problems will help me to ease my burdens.

As I searched the net, I’ve found out the 11 Tips on De-stressing One’s life and 2 of them really sticks to my mind. “Be at peace with yourself” and “Live simply; get rid of clutter.”  I will apply to these to myself for me to move on with my life.

If there’s one lesson that I learn from this stressful situation its that you can’t please others so start it by pleasing yourself FIRST before anyone else in able for us to live a simple and a peaceful life.

How About Me

Thursday, April 24th, 2008
Help me get rid of this hate boiling deep down inside of me. It’s consumingme faster than paper under fire. I’ve been keeping it all for eternity but I can almost feel myself errupting any moment now. Things has gone from bad to worst. I’m facing it like a knight without sword. How can I overcome it when I’m completely not in control. What I can do is pretend everythings fine. But it’s not and never will be. I’ve been hurt and still hurting, all the time. Been betrayed by people that matter most to me. Does anyone even care what I think, or what I feel? I think not, even a little.

I’m not a child anymore so there’s no reason for me to get emo but there is only this much that I can take. Never enough. Whatever I do is never really enough.

No one’s perfect so everyone makes mistakes. Explaining oneself is never trying to excuse myself from commiting that mistake. But if you only listen you’ll know why it happened and maybe undestand but never did. Not in a moment. How come people try to find fault in me when they did something wrong. Are they trying to deviate the real issue so they could hide from it? Then why me. Just accept the fact that we all make mistakes.

Sigh…

9 Words Women Use

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Received thie e-mail from Chas and just would like to share:

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4. Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

5. Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6. That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7. Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you’re welcome.

8. Whatever: Is a women’s way of saying f@Ik
YOU!

9. Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.
