My Preparations for College Life

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Hi! It’s nice to be back!
Last Thursday and Friday, I attended the Orientation event for us incoming first years at Ateneo de Davao University. First, I thought at the idea of an orientation to be boring, but actually, it turned out to be fun. I enjoyed the activities and the most thrilling part? Searching for new friends. It’s quite awkward to talk to this person next to me because I was thinking that he/she will not entertain me, haha. Anyway, because I am very excited for the first day ofclass, I’m gonna share with you guys my preparations for college.

1. Notebook - I can still remember way back in highschool, I’m very excited searhing for new 10 notebooks since we have 10 subjectsand the amount will be amassed to PHP 400. It has become a tradition of mine at National Bookstore, hehe. But now, since I’m no loner a HS student, I was thinking or purhasing a binder but since I can’t find a good one, I jst bought myself a Stradmore spring notebook, approx. 200 pages and it costs PHP 150 including its zip over. I love it for its unique concept and its exhilaratingly funny, swear. You have to try it my fellow first years.

2. New Bag - Since I was in Grade 4, I’ve been a Hawk Bag lover. But now, I thought back packs are so yesterday, haha. I’m not telling that we’ve to be accustomed to what’s in today, it’s just that I only have one notebook and perhaps 3 books and a few gelpens, so I bought a sling bag at PHP 499 at Bench in Gaisano Mall of Davao. So far, so good. I hope this bag will last for the entire semester. I love its unique and very classic texture and casual but youthful design.

Sipping My Brand Cup of Coffee

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Working in the farm is hard but enjoying.  Waking up every morning, you will feel the embrace and freshness of nature.  And you walk down the pathways through the flowering shrubs with a refreshing hot cup of coffee, oh! My day.  It’s far better holding a bottle of beer on one hand and a lighted cigar on the other and zigzagging through the dark and faulty smelling alley of the city after night life. see more @ Pinoy Barking Hall

SEX AND THE CITY (ON THE BIG SCREEN)

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

A lot of movies are a must-see for fashionistas and women on the go.  Two years ago it was THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, while this year (hopefully this year) its SEX AND THE CITY.

The series hold up a poke fun at the trends that we take so seriously, and the plots are fun and the acting are so amusing, but really, we are going to see the clothes, the set, and the styling on tv, as well as on the big screen.  SEX AND THE CITY IS NOT DISAPPOINTING. (FOR SURE ON THE BIG SCREEN TOO!)

Try to visit this website www.fashionspot.weebly.com, wherein I’ve found the link that reveals where Carrie usually hung out.  There you can find also the release dates, reviews and trailer for SEX AND THE CITY.  Also you can find some links on this site some ideas on how to start up a small business like there are thousands of handbags design that I can use if ever I will pursue the bag industry.  In fashion I’ve found this link the new must-haves this season.  Then shop like a fashionista, you can search all the best in fashion, and other practical business information on fashion.

This site is informative and really helpful for me, and also for you too.  So try to visit, again www.fashionspot.weebly.com

Thanks! Have a nice day!

Global Warming Scare and the Rising Prices of Commodities

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Man-made global warming scare sponsored by UN-IPCC will exacerbate further the development of poor countries.  Non-governmental organization, their partner disguised as environmentalist, are blocking the construction of power plants which do not conform to their planned agenda. see more @ Pinoy Barking Hall

The Man-Made Global Warming Commerce of IPCC

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Carbon industry remains to be the important agenda of UN Environment Programme.  The hysteria created by its Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) through its concocted man-made global warming has been spreading throughout the whole world.  The United Nations allowed itself to be used as an implementing body towards attaining the business interest of carbon trading groups in the guise of mitigating the insurmountable global warming cycle of the universe.

IPCC  always make it a point of associating global warming with the scare of increasing temperature up to 2 degrees Celcius –enough to send a frightening effect on humans- loss of species, diminishing coral reefs, rising sea level, intense hurricanes, famines and droughts, and other forms of catastrophic impact on living things.  All these alarming holocausts to scare the populace have been given prominence in Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” which the UN gave so much accolade and recognition by presenting the author with a novel peace prize.  These alarms have been dispersed to all member-nations so that they will adhere to the required binding caps and restrictions of carbon emission in the pretext of lessening the greenhouse effect that contribute to warming.  They portray the exaggerated scientific evidences to present an authoritative assessment for the member-nations to follow.  They claimed that the global atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide increased since the year 1750, the start of industrial revolution.  But they did not realize that the increase was the result of gradual warming over the past 400 years after the Little Ice Age.  It is the increasing temperature, such as burning, that carbon dioxide is extracted and tends to mix with the atmosphere.  It is the warming –that comes first- that increases the amount of Co2.  It is not carbon dioxide that causes warming.  This is a straightforward reasoning and it seems IPCC refused to understand.  Granting that warming is the effect of greenhouse gases, it should be water vapour as the greater factor.  Water vapour made up the 65% of greenhouse gases while carbon dioxide is associated with methane, ozone, nitrous oxide, and other groups of fluorinated gases that comprised the 35%.  How will Co2 contribute to global warming?  Furthermore, greenhouse gases are the tiny 1% of earth’s atmosphere and the 99% are composed of nitrogen and oxygen. Open Comments Workgroup - Now Online

Monday, June 9th, 2008

If you are a blogger, a website owner, or a commenter, you may have notice how comments are fragmented since Web 1.0 and how it gets even more fragmented today - Web 2.0. Discussions about defragmenting Comments sparked up in the Comments space and the Blogosphere these past few months, especially with the growing popularity of services like Disqus, Intense Debate, and well the two most pointed-out fragmenter today - Shyftr and FriendFeed (to which I’ve said, it has been like that since Web 1.0).

Wedding Invitation Wordings

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Some of you might wonder why the design and wordings of our wedding invitation do not follow the wedding invitation etiquettes and proper wordings as what some experts in invitation-making are following. A visitor of our blog (Learn Lessons with SELaplana) reacted as she saw our wedding invitation and told me through her email that […]
