Hoping, wishing and knotting my fingers together will not help the Azkals in any way during their present campaign in the ASEAN Football Championship qualifiers. Nonetheless, I will continue to hope, wish and knot my fingers together– and continue to believe that one day, The Philippines will be among the great footballing nations in Asia. I know it’s a long shot, but it’s a shot that wants to be taken and I’m happy that our squad, despite the many challenges they continue to face on and off the field that seem to make it all a futile exercise, refuse to give up shooting for it.
