Google’s 10th Year Anniversary

In line with Google’s 10th Year Anniversary, they are releasing new products and upgrades one after another. Just today they released the New Picasa Web Albums and Picasa 3.0 Beta, and Chrome.

Simply put, the new Picasa products (Web and Desktop) has become a Photo Suite (IMO), while Chrome if you still haven’t heard, is Google’s very own FLOSS Browser!

August 2008 Agricultural Engineering Board Exam Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 157 out of 416 passed the Agricultural Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agricultural Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Davao this August 2008.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Thursday, September 4, 2008 but not later than September 30, 2008. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1″ x 1″ picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee.

The Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology or “Y4iT” is an annual IT event hosted by UP IT Training Center (UPITTC) and UP System Information Technology Foundation (UPSITF) in cooperation with Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE), Computing Society of the Philippines (CSP), and the UP ITTC Student Volunteer Corps.Now on its 6th year, the Y4IT is expected be attended by more than 17,000 youth from all over the country.

Several friends have been asking me how I made my wireless device in my MacBook running Ubuntu Linux worked. Others with different brands of laptops have shared also the same problem.
