Barack Obama vs John McCain US Election 2008 Results

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

It’s official! Barack Obama is the 44th US President.
He can now be more properly called as His Excellency, President Barack Obama!

I’ve followed Obama’s journey from his narrow victory over fellow Democrat heavy contender Hillary Clinton back when he was still being criticized of his eligibility to rule the United States. It was that event that I become alarmed, and so really supported Obama * although who cares if an amateur blogger like me will support him, it doesn’t affect the polls anyway, right? So silly of me, I know* in my own little way by featuring him to my post Racial Discrimination before, which has contributed a generous amount of traffic to my blog.

Anyways, I wouldn’t bore you why I support the Democrat party for Presidency, but I vote for Sarah Palin as Vice President, but that’s another story to tell.

So, here’s the final tally of votes of one of the most intriguing and controversial presidential election in U.S. election history:

1. Barack Obama : 61,641,993 votes
2. John McCain : 54,865,190 votes

Top 10 Hit Songs - October Issue

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Due to the overwhelming views of my current Top 10 Hit songs Article last month, which is the most viewed article I’ve ever written, which is also responsible for the dramatic increase of this blog’s traffic; I now present to you the October Issue of the Top 10 Hit Songs!
*ranks were based from Billboard Hot 100 Singles, songs currently dominating the airwaves and of course, my personal favorites*

1. Disturbia - Rihanna
The song title itself is enough to catch one music lover’s attention. And the music video is just exactly what I pictures it is as I listened to the lyrics of Rihanna’s latest hit song. After listening to it, you just can’t help but utter the song’s introductions, “bum bum be dum bum bum be dum bum”

2. In the Ayer - Flo-Rida
One of the few songs remained from last month’s favorites. From Number 8, Flo-Rida’s follow-up to world hit songs “Low” and “Elevator”, “In the Ayer” jumps 6 places and it’s now our Number 2 hit song for October. Sing with me everybody, “In the Ayer, eh, ayer ayer eh!”

3. Forever- Chris Brown
Last month’s number 4 ascends one spot to number 3. Surely, “Forever” haven’t lost its spark since everytime I listen to it on my mp4, I still can’t help but sing along with its melody.

4. When I Grow Up - Pussycat Dolls
The PCD’s latest hit is all over the radio. What reminds me of this song is that, “When I Grow Up” is the song used for our class presentation during the Ateneo’s P.E. day. T’was a disaster! But I eventually learned to love this song enough to make it to number 4.

5. Miss Independent - NeYo
My all-time favorite singer recently released this single under his latest album “Year of the Gentleman”. Though this song isn’t really popular -yet- in the local music market, I posted it here since it’s a personal favorite, haha. I heard another similar version of this song, but I’m not really sure of the details of that particular song.

6. Womanizer - Britney Spears
Britney Spears is back in the music industry! Recently, she received 3 major awards from the prestigious MTV Video Music Awards (VMA).

Pinoy’s  penchant for politics never fade.  In spite of economic turmoil and impending global recession,  the instigator of chaos and provoker of anarchism never stop and seem to mind no economic upheavals but pursue their political ambitions whatever the cost.  And their attitude of “come what may” persist as long as their personal objectives are not put in jeopardy whether the direct results are detrimental to the helpless populace.  Read more at Pinoy Barking Hall

Monday, October 13th, 2008

OtakonEK 2008, an event where Otakus were officially invited by the management of Enchanted Kingdom has ended. We took photos of the participants and how it looked like - seeing Cosplayers and fellow Otakus roaming EK amidst all the families who went there just to have fun.

I can say that this is one hell of a blast in exposing the Otaku-ness of everyone to the Filipino people. Check out the photos here.
