Hollywood’s Remake of “Sigaw”

Here’s a cool news. Hollywood has tapped the good-looking Jesse Bradford (a star in Flags of Our Fathers) to star in the remake of the Pinoy thriller “Sigaw.” The movie is going to be directed by the original Filipino director Yam Laranas who also co-wrote the original screenplay with Roy Iglesias. Isn’t that cool? Apparently, the producer saw the film in the 2005 Screamfest and liked it.
Bradford will play the role portrayed by Richard Gutierrez. The film will start shooting in August and will be entitled “Echo.” I have read somewhere that among the original cast, only Iza Calzado was asked to reprise her role as the battered wife but allegedly, she turned down the offer. Girl, you must have a very good reason to turn down an opportunity in Hollywood!!
