   ozamis is great place but a tainted reality..silence is a virtue in ozamis cause if you dont “fertilizer naka sa guso” so they say..
   why such a city be tainted by alvin flores and KB?? wala bang ganyan sa davao at butuan or even dumaguete??….politics is politics…politicians have got to do anything to remain in that seat..
   drugs,extortion,gambling… you just name it.!!.its not just in ozamis its nationwide… its easy to justify everything that is wrong.. Asteeg talagang maging Ozamisnon cause i dont question mayors bodyguards so battle ready. Why lawis is so associated with drugs. why video karera is a means of food for the dragons.. Ozamis is a place with SO MUCH crime, and unfortunately, the people who are hired to enforce the laws are the mayor’s puppets.    its just funny how this apparent blog starts with “This blog is ALL about the alvin flores group”, when it’s very obvious reason is to malign people mentioned… and very ironic that it ends with, “I love my place and i will not let them ruin my place” – when just ur supposedly SIMPLE blog destroys everything that Ozamiznons have worked for. maybe you ought to check ur facts? there are a lot of questions running through my head. and i suppose, with ur grand story u can answer them all ( and we would appreciate if u can provide facts too):
   1) why in the world, did u just come up with this story NOW? when u said this has been going on for so long?
   2) how did u get ur facts ? and u seem so sure with them, even referring to the hold-up activities in the 80’s as recent ( time check pls!)
   3) if u seem so concerned about ozamiz, but yet u publish this blog without checking ur facts?
   4) how can u say ozamiznons are living in fear? when everywhere we look there are no more snatchers holdups kidnappers etc? =P
   5) if ur a concerned citizen and u have dropped names and u seem to have proof, why not go directly to the authorities? maybe get to national security and squeal? is it because u cant really prove what ur saying?
   6) are u really challenging our beloved PNP, or is this a way of accusing them to be incompetent and sunod sunuran? is nt that a crime already? the PNP is working very hard to promote and maintain peace and order in the city and anywhere else.
   I still have a lot of questions that u might answer and might not. And i know there will be many accusations that somebody paid me bullshit whatever. But hey, the truth is, im just one of the many ordinary ozamiznons whod want to move on with what was behind us – the kuratong baleleng times that u so colorfully described. But hey, who are u to judge? when u wrote a blog that brought back these accusations and associate us with illegal doings and brought us back on the map. when we have worked so hard to move on and be better people.
   I just dont know why u have to say this NOW and why u named people. as a responsible person, u should have given the benefit of the doubt. and most importantly, to really value a blog, u should have just stuck to the matter. I smell something fishy – elections is fast approaching. and U REALLY HAVE TO NAME. Otherwise, your purpose of writing th is blog will be defeated.     This is a TRUE story about a my classmate who lived somewhere in Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was a GOD fearing man. A typical probinsiyano who work hard so he could give a little alleviation for his family who are poor people.He worked hard to earn a degree in BSMT in one of the schools here in Ozamiz City.Then with the luck on his side he was able to get a job as a seaman of a foreign vessels plying on international seaports.
    Then came his unfortunate vacation. This time he wasn’t lucky enough to board back the foreign vessel he was working for.
    He was killed in Ozamiz City when he was about to purchase some construction materials for his new home in Tambulig. He was robbed and killed. His body floated somewhere in Ozamiz as “fertilizer sa mga guso”. Pare, malouy sad mo ana na mga tawo oi. Maningkamot gali para sa pamilya inyo dayon patyon para lang makakuarta dayon mo. Pila na ka-tuig ga-eskuela para makatabang sa pamilya. Magtrabaho mo ug sakto …dagko man mo ug mga lawas. Nganong panulis mana inyo trabaho. Naa bayay Ginoo gatan-aw ninyo.
    I pity for Jose Ozamiz , the son of Genaro Ozamiz– a spanish from Navarre, Spain and the founder of Ozamiz City. If he was able to live up to this days I know he will cry, for His descendants are not like him, who is very intelligent and worked hard for his living. Now, his descendants living in Ozamiz City have his spanish looks but they lack his intelligence instead they are CRIMINALS.

    Kuratong Baleleng Issue is now back because of the Alvin Flores Group…I partly agree with dodong upon saying that Alvin Flores is a breakaway of KB because masyado ng mainit ang KB sa mga authorities and we can’t deny the fact that KB is indeed originated from Ozamiz City. This is not just a “hearsay” but a reality because we watched and heard it over the news in both radio and tellevision. People can’t blame if they can come out with an opinion like this because we see the reality. About the issue on Fertilizer sa Guso, its true! many are victims of this brutal execution. If you go to Ozamiz at may koneksyon ka sa loob, you are safe or sabihin na nating alam mo kung san ang lampyahan, parang taga Ozamiz ka na rin….san ba galing ang shabu dito sa Mis. Occ.? Aba! iwan basta if may piso ka nasa heaven kana! Walang crime? eh bakit kung maglalakad ka kahit 3310 pa ung CP mo kukunin pa ng sapilitan sayo? anyways, lahat ng lugar mayron nyan but its too much here in Ozamis…. i can still remember how my friends died in Manila. They said babyahe daw sila sandali kc sabi ni engineer may malaking project daw. on the next day, makikita mo na lang sa news na involve sila sa hold apan o di kayay carnapping dun… kakaiba! Kayo na lang ang humusga!Yes! its true there are many developments made in Ozamiz City. Progressive na sya ngayon kompara sa dati… Economy blooms because of the leadership of Our very own Honorable Mayor Parojinog. to name few, IBJT, City Mall, mga commercial centers ant iba pa… peru sana naman sa pag unlad na ito walang kaakibat na masamang balita na makakasira sa anumang mayron tayo ngayon…

    I challenge the Local Officials here in Ozamiz City to change the Bad Image we have gained. Masyado pang maaga para mangampanya! Use the remaining days of your Office in doing good for our City. we still have six months to work and fix everything. Work for public service! Mabuhay Ozamiz City and Mabuhay Mayor Aldong!

    To view morality in a typical way is rather naive. Perception of what is right and wrong or bad and good varies according to the norms of society and/or its individual circumstances.
    Lahi sa uban ang Ozamiznon. Naay kaugalingon na basihan kung unsay dautan ug maayo ang kadaghanan nato. Sayop man o dili, lisod bag-uhon ang butang na naka-ugat na sa atong kultura.

    I grew up in Ozamiz and had a few dirty deeds to my name. From the most petty things to the bigger stuff, I could say I’ve been there and done that. The path I choose then was rather due to personal circumstances but not hypocriticaly without the idea of social conformity. Admittedly, as bad as it is, my only regret is the frailty to choose my OWN lesser evil. Besides, it seems to be a cool idea at that time hehehehe..

    Having a straight life overseas at the moment, I could humbly look in the mirror and see that I’m not that bad afterall. For what’s it worth, the past aspires me more to become a better person than I am today.

    The bottomline is – whatever path we choose doesn’t necessarily reflects the kind of person or people (Ozamiznon) we are . There’s good and bad in everyone.Daghan gabuhat sa gitawag natong mga dautang butang nga maayo sa isig katawo. Call it lame justification (as if I care), but it is the reality.

    We should look at the bright side of being Ozamiznon.

    When the going gets tough, we can proudly say – AYAW KO UG UWATA OI…TAGA OZAMIZ NI !!! :p..
