    3,000 bug fixes and 23,000 changes in just 2 years of active development. Not to mention 64-bit, IPv6, and more effects supported, WINE 1.2 is simply a must for every gamer and non-gamer Linux user.

  • Valve Games are coming to Linux (finally) there is no more doubt about it. Games like Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Quake Wars, Unreal Tournament, are only some of a bunch of games Linux gamers will soon be able to install natively.

  • With Google’s Linux-based Android powering the HTC Magic (Now in the Philippines through Smart Communications. I also heard Globe is offering HTC Magic and its available in Globe’s outlet in SM Mega Mall — this has to be verified since HTC Magic is not included in the Globe’s website’s list of phone offerings as of today), Nokia is following suit in the use of Linux for its new phone.

  • We knew this day would eventually come, but somehow we’re still misting up a little — Linux has been ported to the iPhone and iPod touch. Dev Team member planetbeing is the mastermind in charge of bringing everyone’s favorite open-source OS to Apple’s handhelds, and while it’s a little rough around the edges (read: no touchscreen drivers, sound, or WiFi / cell radio support), it’s definitely the first step on the road to hacking nirvana.
