Pinoy Blogger's Directory

I know that many of you submitted your blog for a long time already but until now, your blog is not yet listed or added on the list of blogs according to the chosen category. This was actually caused by the huge number of spam blogs added submitted into the directory.

You need to know that blogs submitted are checked personally by our editors. Spam blogs are deleted and only those blogs owned and managed by Filipino bloggers are the ones included into the directory.

Here’s how we checked the blog.

1. We will check the blog if it already has the “Pinoy Blogger” badge. The “Pinoy Blogger” badge shown in your blog is the result of inserting this code into your blog’s theme:

   This code will generate a link like this:

   

   So, once we don’t find the “Pinoy Blogger” badge or the image shown above, we automatically delete the submitted blog.

2. After finding the “Pinoy Blogger” badge, we then check the blog for clues and hints whether the blog is spammy or not. Those blogs that looks spammy will be deleted from the list of submitted blogs.
3. The next step is to find clues and hints whether the blog is owned or managed by Filipinos.

So, only those blogs owned by Filipinos will be added to the directory.

We noticed that spammers tried to add their spam blogs into our directory. The blogs that submitted are not just tens of them but hundreds of them. It’s just fortunate that those spammy blogs were filtered and placed in our “for moderation” box.

In our previous post, we announced that those blogs submitted by following the instruction given would be immediately added into the directory. We’re sorry but we changed our mind. Because of the spammy blogs submitted into our system, we decided that all the blogs submitted need to be moderated first to ensure that blogs added into the directory are not spammy and are real “Pinoy” or “Filipino” owned or managed blogs.

By the way, the outbound links of our directory site are “Followed.” In other words, they are not tagged with “nofollow” and therefore search engines consider the links as valid and can pass PR points into your blog.

Did you know that you can automatically add your blog into the Pinoy Bloggers’ Directory?

We already had find ways on how to immediately place a link back to your blog from our directory system. Here’s how:

1. First, you need to add a snippet of code into your blog’s theme. Get the code here. After doing that, follow the next step.
2. Visit this page, and fill up the form. In the field called “Reciprocal URL” enter the URL of the page where the image shown below is found.
   

   This image is actually the result of the snippet of code mentioned on step 1. If this image is shown anywhere in your blog, especially at your blog’s homepage, then use the URL of you blog’s homepage. For example, if the URL of your blog’s homepage is http://myblog.com then type that URL on the field.

3. After clicking the “Add Link” button, our directory system will immediately visit your blog and look for the snippet of code that you pasted into your blog’s theme by following the address you entered in the field called “Reciprocal URL“. If our directory system will find the snippet of code, your blog will be immediately added into the directory. However, if the system did not find the code, it will be automatically rejected.

So, don’t wait for us to add your blog into the directory because you can do it by yourself.

Our Blog’s Directory is live again! But you  need to add your blog again manually to our Directory system because our old database and website files had been corrupted.
